Dan Leff has extensive experience building, leading, and restructuring global companies in energy services, industrial automation, manufacturing, and technology. He is an active investor and board member in growth companies advancing climate technology and the energy transition, including serving as executive chairman of VEIR and Sparkfund, and as a board member of Ambri and Mantel Capture. He has also advised and invested in companies such as Via Separations, Arcadia, Enchanted Rock, Viridity Energy, and Hara Software, and previously held leadership roles at ServiceChannel, Bayard Capital Technologies, and Invensys. Earlier in his career, Dan was chairman and CEO of Enron Energy Services during its restructuring, and co-founded FMES, which he later sold to Enron, after leadership roles at Pilot Energy and United Technologies Carrier. Beyond operating companies, he advises venture and private equity firms including Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Engine Ventures, G2VP, Bison Ventures, and Broadscale Group. Dan also serves on the boards of the Trudeau Institute and Point Positive, holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Union College, and lives with his wife Pam and their four children.
