Reimagining boilers, decarbonizing industry

AtmosZero was created by a small team with a big dream: Find a way to accelerate industrial decarbonization. Not in theory. Not in the lab. Not in a decade. Now.

Todd Bandhauer

Chief Technology Officer

Todd is a leader in thermal energy systems innovation, creating solutions to decarbonize the industrial sector.

Before helping found AtmosZero, Todd spent 4 years at Modine Manufacturing, earned a PhD from Georgia Tech, and landed more than $15M in research awards as a principal investigator for Colorado State from ARPA-E, the U.S. Departments of Energy and Defense, the state of Colorado, and industry.

Todd is a prolific innovator, with 20 patents and 77 journal and conference publications (so far). He trains the future of industry as a Professor at CSU and the Director of REACH CoLab, which moves industrial carbon emission reduction concepts from the lab to reality.

Todd’s more than 20 years of industrial and applied research experience is based on a team-focused approach that develops practical, quick-to-implement solutions. His belief in the power of teamwork to get results stems from his upbringing in the U.S. South and Midwest, as well as his experience as a D1 quarterback at Iowa State.
